A native of Fort Smith, AR, Pastor Shane was raised Roman Catholic in a large family as the seventh among eight children. Prior to joining the United Methodist Church, Pastor Shane served in ministry as a senior pastor, youth pastor, and children’s pastor in non-denominational and Southern Baptist congregations Called to full time ministry while working in business, Pastor Shane became a member of the Arkansas United Methodist Church in 1997 and entered seminary in 2000 as the first Arkansas Methodist Foundation Scholarship Award recipient. He holds a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from John Brown University.
In addition to serving as the pastor of Oakley Chapel, Pastor Shane is a Chaplain for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and is the Arkansas National Guard Joint Force Headquarters Air Chaplain, Camp Robinson, North Little Rock, AR.
Pastor Shane is married to Sara Pair, also a United Methodist Pastor and has three children and one grandchild. Pastor Shane enjoys playing at golf, attending Arkansas Razorback football and basketball games, and most of all, spending time with his family.
